MOT International

About

MOT is London's most interesting and successful young independent exhibition space. Founded by Chris Hammond as an artist run initiative in 2002 it has gone on to show the work of over 150 artists, including Martin Kippenberger, Rodney Graham, Mike Kelley, Paul McCarthy, Franz West, Lawrence Weiner, Martin Creed, Liam Gillick, Jeff Koons, Louise Lawler, Fischli & Weiss, Dennis Oppenheim, Christopher Wool, Stephen Willats, Ben Nicholson, Sarah Lucas, Mark Wallinger, Simon Patterson, Matthew Higgs, Jon Thompson, Jeremy Deller, Günther Brus, William Copley, AR Penck, Jake & Dinos Chapman, Rachel  Harrison, Runa Islam, Mark Titchner, Omer Fast,  Derek Jarman, John Heartfield and Gardar Eide Einarsson. MOT has attracted an International audience with many of its exhibitions receiving reviews in the pages of frieze, Flash Art, Art Forum, Art Monthly, Untitled, Contemporary, Art Review, The Guardian, The Times, The Independent, Big Issue, AN, and Time Out.

In 2006 MOT became MOTINTERNATIONAL, extending its remit to include a commercial contemporary dealership representing important emerging and established international artists. MOTINTERNATIONAL continues its role of supporting innovative curatorial practice and new independent curators.
