Richard Parry lives and works in London. He graduated from Goldsmiths in 2006, where he founded The New Dome, an artist's group who have initiated a number of exhibitions and projects. These events have become legendary amongst those lucky enough to find them, with performances by artists' bands including those of Martin Creed and Merlin Carpenter. The infamous VISIT THE NEW DOME MOJITO TROUGH had the likes of Jonathan Meese kneeling in front of a trough in the gallery filled with Mojito on the opening night party. Parry's work lampoons cultural signs, appropriating anything from Swastikas to Hip-Hop branding to make paintings that transform their subjectivity through humor, destabilizing cultural propaganda.
